The board of the National Agency of Electric Energy (ANEEL) authorized the company Caetité 1 Energia Renovável S.A. to operate as an independent producer of electric energy after the construction and operation of wind power plant Caetité 1. The decision was taken at a collegiate meeting held last Tuesday (October 16th ).
The plant is located in the city of Caetité in the state of Bahia and it will have 30 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.
On Wednesday, October 17th, the Bank of Information on Generation (BIG) of ANEEL recorded the existence of 1159 independent production agents of electric energy which are currently authorized by the Agency.
