From this date on, the processes related to inventory studies on hydropower potential, feasibility studies and basic hydroelectric processing projects will only be classified if there is competition and within the period between the delivery of the first and the last study to the National Agency of Electrical Energy (ANEEL).
When there are no competitors, processes will always be always public, and copies may be made available to any interested party. The innovation was brought by the Revision of the Norm of Organization (No. 15) made by ANEEL, which deals with the matter of confidentiality of the Agency’s documents. Before the revision, the entire proceedings related to inventory studies, feasibility and basic projects were considered confidential matter. The measure is in accordance with the Law of Access to Information, which strives for openness and transparency of processes and administrative acts. (HP / PG)
