The Board of the National Agency of Electric Energy (ANEEL) approved last Tuesday (10/30) the opening of a public hearing to discuss the improvement of proposed regulations regarding the calculation of sales revenue of electricity from the generating plants Angra 1 and 2.

In 2009, an amendment of the regulations established that as of January 1, 2013, payment of the revenue resulting from the generation of energy from generators to Eletronuclear will be prorated among all utilities, permittees or authorized companies of public distribution in the National Interconnected System – SIN and that the revenue will be due to the rate calculated annually and approved by ANEEL.

In addition to addressing the methodology of calculation of energy sale revenue, the hearing is meant to discuss the value of Fixed Revenue and Unit Variable Cost proposed for the year 2013; the values ​​of final rates between Furnas and Eletronuclear for years 2010 to 2012; the value of the differential between the rate charged and the reference to be transferred to Furnas between 2013 and 2015; the update rate of depreciation of assets related to the generation of nuclear energy, among other issues.
