The distributor serves 114.4 thousand consumer units in 5 townships in <st1:City w:st='on'><st1:place w:st='on'>S\u00e3o Paulo<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> (Bragan\u00e7a Paulista and others) and <st1:metricconverter w:st='on' ProductID='10 in'>10 in<\/st1:metricconverter> Minas Gerais (Extrema, Itapeva and others).<\/p>\n<p>The hearing was opened at 8am in the auditorium of the <st1:place w:st='on'><st1:PlaceType w:st='on'>Center<\/st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName w:st='on'>Industries<\/st1:PlaceName><\/st1:place> for the State of S\u00e3o Paulo (CIESP) and counted on the presence of 35 participants including representatives of the Consumer Board, Single Workers&#8217; Union (CUT), Chamber of Storeowners and unions. Of all those present, four made suggestions to improve the process.<\/p>\n<p>Aneel&#8217;s proposal projects an <b >average increase<\/b>&#160;of <b >0<\/b>.<b >37<\/b>%&#160;(0.37%) for the concessionaire&#8217;s tariffs. The documents with the concessionaire&#8217;s revision proposal have been available at <a href='http:\/\/www.aneel.gov.br\/aplicacoes\/audiencia\/dspListaDetalhe.cfm?attAnoAud=2008&amp;attIdeFasAud=279&amp;id_area=13&amp;attAnoFasAud=2008'><b><u><font face='Verdana'>A Aneel\/ Audi\u00eancias\/Consultas\/F\u00f3rum<\/font><\/u><\/b><\/a>, on the Agency&#8217;s home page (<a href='http:\/\/www.aneel.gov.br\/'><b><u>www.aneel.gov.br<\/u><\/b><\/a>) since last March 6. After analysis of the contributions sent in writing and gathered during the hearing, Aneel will define Bragantina&#8217;s final index, which will go into effect next May 10.<\/p>\n<p>In 2008, 36 companies shall undergo the periodic tariff revision process. In 2007, seven distribution concessionaires underwent the revision: Coelce (CE), Eletropaulo (SP), Escelsa (ES), Celpa (PA) and Elektro (SP), Bandeirante (SP) and CPFL Piratininga (SP).
