The plant will have 3,300 megawatts of installed capacity and should generate energy starting in January 2013. The value of the investment, evaluated by the Company of Energetic Research (EPE), was defined in R$ 8.7 billion, with a reference date of October 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Two consortiums participate in the auction that will be held through a Private Computer Network installed in the Agency&#8217;s headquarters, in Bras\u00edlia.<\/p>\n<p>Below, the composition of each consortium, with a list of the companies and participation:<\/p>\n<p>1) <strong>JIRAU ENERGIA CONSORTIUM<\/strong> Odebrecht Investimentos <st1:PersonName w:st='on' ProductID='em Infra-Estrutura Ltda.'>em Infra-Estrutura Ltda.<\/st1:PersonName> (17.6%); Construtora Norberto Odebrecht S\/A (1%); Andrade Gutierrez Participa\u00e7\u00f5es S\/A (12.4%); Cemig Gera\u00e7\u00e3o e Transmiss\u00e3o S\/A (10%); Furnas Centrais El\u00e9tricas S\/A (39%) and Fundo de Investimentos e Participa\u00e7\u00f5es Amaz\u00f4nia Energia II (FIP &#8211; formed by Banif and Santander banks) (20%)<\/p>\n<p>2) <strong>ENERGIA SUSTENT\u00c1VEL DO BRASIL CONSORTIUM<\/strong> Suez Energy South Am\u00e9rica Participa\u00e7\u00f5es Ltda. (50.1%); Camargo Corr\u00eaa Investimentos <st1:PersonName w:st='on' ProductID='em Infra-Estrutura S'>em Infra-Estrutura S<\/st1:PersonName>\/A (9.9%); Eletrosul Centrais El\u00e9tricas S\/A (20%) and Companhia Hidro El\u00e9trica do S\u00e3o Francisco &#8211; Chesf (20%),<\/p>\n<p>Last Friday (16\/05), the Special Tender Commission at Aneel disclosed through Relevant Announcement n\u00b05, the list of eight distributors that will also participate as buyers in the auction of energy from the Jirau hydroelectric plant. The complete list totals 39 distribution companies, as buyers, since 31 distributors were already fit to participate in the auction, see the list here.
