The hearing counted on the presence of 54 participants, among which were consumers and repsrentatives of Igua\u00e7u consumers.<\/p>\n<p>The average preliminary review index was <b >&#8211;<\/b> <b >6.41% (negative)<\/b>. After the analysis of the contributions sent in writing and collected during the hearing, Aneel will define Igua\u00e7u Energia&#8217;s final index, which will go in effect this coming August 7<sup>th<\/sup>. The distributor serves approximately 27 thousand consumer units in the Santa Catarina municipalities of Xanxer\u00ea, Xaxim, Entre Rios, Bom Jesus and Lajeado Grande.<\/p>\n<p>The tariff reduction proposed is resulting of the company&#8217;s greater productivity and of the lower average capital cost (which defines the distribution leasers&#8217; remuneration). It is applied to the distribution leasers every four years, on average.
