Fonte: <\/b>ANEEL<\/b><\/a>The transmission facilities which will integrate the River Madeira Hydroelectric Complex, in Rond\u00f4nia, to the National Interconnected System (SIN) will be contested by 15 Brazilian companies and a Spanish one, participating individually or integrating three habilitated consortiums. The participation of the 16 companies was confirmed today (11\/25), after they delivered the subscription documents and deposited the financial warranties required in the public notice. The auction regarding the licenses of the seven lots will be carried out by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (Aneel) tomorrow (11\/26) at 10a.m., at the Rio de Janeiro Stock Exchange, in a public session conducted by BM&FBovespa. <\/p>\n

Rules<\/b> – The auction of the river Madeira lines will be carried out in two stages. The first one will select the technological option, between CC Alternative (characterized by direct current facilities) and HA Alternative (characterized by direct and alternating current facilities, denominated hybrid alternative). The winner will be the option whose sum of the smaller bids, which will be delivered via envelope, for their respective lots (A to E) is the smallest. The second stage will comprise the auction of the seven lots with the winning technological alternative of the first stage according to the criteria practiced by the Agency in transmission auctions: the winner will be the one offering the smallest tax, i.e., the smallest Permissible Annual Income (RAP) for the transmission service.<\/p>\n

The choice of two technological alternatives for that auction, established in the Decree no 6.536<\/font><\/u><\/b><\/a>, dated of August 11, 2008, of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), will contribute to encourage competitiveness and, consequently, tax moderateness. Legal, technical, economic-financial and fiscal habilitation will occur after the auction public session and only for the contest winners. According to the public notice schedule, delivery of the winners’ post-qualification documents will occur on December 1.<\/p>\n

Connection to the SIN<\/b> – The Transmission Lines have an approximate extension of 2,375 kilometers<\/st1:metricconverter> (km) for connection to the National Interconnected System. The facilities are estimated to be put in operation in between 36 to 50 months after the signing of the license contracts. The estimate of investments for all lots, made by the Empresa de Pesquisa Energ\u00e9tica (EPE), is of R$ 7.2 billion.<\/p>\n
