{"id":13450,"date":"2009-12-23T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-03-22T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"ANEEL-3265","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sindenergia.com.br\/seminario\/?p=13450","title":{"rendered":"Ceremony marks reappointment and tenure of Aneel directors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Fonte: <\/b><a href='http:\/\/www.aneel.gov.br\/aplicacoes\/noticias\/Output_Noticias.cfm?Identidade=3265&#038;id_area=90'><b>ANEEL<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p ><i>Juli\u00e3o Coelho took Jo\u00edsa Campanher&#8217;s position and Edvaldo Santana is reappointed to the post<\/i>&#160;<\/p>\n<p ><img height='435' alt='' src='http:\/\/www.aneel.gov.br\/arquivos\/Exe\/Foto%20posse%20Aneel%20DR.jpg' width='549' border='0' \/><\/p>\n<p >Lawyer Juli\u00e3o Silveira Coelho took office on Wednesday (23<sup>rd<\/sup>) as director of the National Energy Agency (Aneel).&#160; At the ceremony, held in the morning, in the auditorium of the Agency, director Edvaldo Alves de Santana was reappointed to the post.&#160; The ceremony was presided by Minister of Mines and Energy, Edison Lob\u00e3o, and accompanied by the executive secretary of the MME, M\u00e1rcio Zimmermann, and the General Director of Aneel, Nelson Hubner.<\/p>\n<p >The Minister of Mines and Energy, Edison Lob\u00e3o, stressed the importance of the work of the Agency for the efficiency of the energy sector and reaffirmed his confidence in the sector.&#160; &#8216;We have an electric sector which I am proud of&#8217;.&#160; Lob\u00e3o also explained that the indications for the management of regulatory agencies follow technical criteria, highlighting the stages of hearings in committees of the Senate and approval by the Senate in plenary.<\/p>\n<p >In his speech, Juli\u00e3o Coelho stressed the importance of regulation and emphasized the need for communication with society.&#160; &#8216;I shall ensure the observance of the Federal Constitution, to enforce the law and especially the dialogue with society&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p >Edvaldo Santana, however, said the biggest challenge of his mandate is to simplify the way Aneel builds its regulations.&#160; &#8216;The Agency, in order to be accurate, not often makes itself clear, we need to make our procedures simpler&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p >Nelson Hubner welcomed fellow Board members and added that besides the challenge of making the regulations simpler, Aneel has to act to ensure the citizens&#8217; service power distribution quality, with lower prices. &#8216;<\/p>\n<p >Edvaldo Santana holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC).&#160; Master&#8217;s degree and Ph.D. in Production Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), where he works as a licensed teacher.
