{"id":13295,"date":"2010-05-21T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-03-22T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T04:00:00","slug":"ANEEL-3420","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sindenergia.com.br\/seminario\/?p=13295","title":{"rendered":"Aneel announces results of cleared energy auction of Belo Monte."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Fonte: <\/b><a href='http:\/\/www.aneel.gov.br\/aplicacoes\/noticias\/Output_Noticias.cfm?Identidade=3420&#038;id_area=90'><b>ANEEL<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p align='justify'>The Cons\u00f3rcio Norte Energia, winner of the auction of power from the hydroelectric plant of Belo Monte held last April 20<sup>th<\/sup>, was authorized by the Special Licensing Committee of the National Energy Agency (Aneel), after examining the documents submitted under item 11 of Auction Notice no.&#160; 006\/2009.&#160; The result is in&#160;&#160;<a href='http:\/\/www.aneel.gov.br\/aplicacoes\/editais_geracao\/documentos\/062009-Relatorio%20Habilita\u00e7\u00e3o-UHE%20Belo%20Monte_17-05-2010_hng_20052010sem%20realces.pdf'><b>Trial Report of the Commission<\/b><\/a>, available in Espa\u00e7o do Empreendedor, in Editais de Gera\u00e7\u00e3o, 2009, at the Aneel website (<a href='http:\/\/www.aneel.gov.br\/'><b>www.aneel.gov.br<\/b><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p align='justify'>Nine companies comprise the consortium: Companhia Hidro El\u00e9trica do S\u00e3o Francisco (CHESF) with 49.98%; Construtora Queiroz Galv\u00e3o S\/A, with 10.02%; Galv\u00e3o Engenharia S\/A, 3.75%; Mendes Junior Trading Engenharia S\/A, 3.75%; Serveng Civilsan-S\/A, 3.75%; J Malucelli Construtora de Obras S\/A, with 9.98%; Contern Constru\u00e7\u00f5es e Com\u00e9rcio Ltda. with 3.75%; Cetenco Engenharia S\/A, 5%, and Gaia Energia e Participa\u00e7\u00f5es, with 10.02%.<\/p>\n<p align='justify'>The group won the auction by submitting bids R$ 78 per Megawatt hour (MWh), which is 6.02% below the initial price of R$ 83 per MWh.&#160; By applying a factor of low tariffs in the bidding rules, the final price of energy was R$ 77.97 MWh.&#160; The other consortium that participated in the contest was the one of Belo Monte Energia, formed by&#160; Andrade Gutierrez Participa\u00e7\u00f5es S\/A, Vale S\/A, Neoenergia S\/A, Companhia Brasileira de Aluminio Furnas Centrais El\u00e9tricas S\/A and Eletrosul Centrais El\u00e9tricas S\/A.<\/p>\n<p align='justify'>Belo Monte HPP will be installed on the Xingu River, in Vit\u00f3ria do Xingu, Par\u00e1. The minimum installed capacity is 11,233.1 MW, the world&#8217;s third largest, after the Tr\u00eas Gargantas power plant in the Yangtze River, China, with 22,500 MW, and of the binational Itaipu on the Paran\u00e1 River, located on the border between Brazil and Paraguay, with the capacity to generate 14,000 MW.&#160; Belo Monte HPP will be the largest exclusively Brazilian plant. Belo Monte has physical guarantee of 4,571 MW (MWa), which corresponds to the maximum amount of energy and power that could be used for proof of service loading or marketing contracts.
