In total, the power granted reaches 32,900 Megawatts (MW), the country&rsquo;s full capacity being 114,070MW, of hydro, thermal, wind, solar, and tidal power plants.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; The total capacity of these plants accounts for 42.7% of the 77,300MW in hydropower alone. The data are from the Information Database of Generation (BIG) of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL), available at <a href='http:\/\/www.aneel.gov.br\/'><strong><u>www.aneel.gov.br<\/u><\/strong><\/a>, on Technical Information.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; The power plants Tucuru&iacute; I and II, built on River Tocantins, in Tucuru&iacute;, Par&aacute;, rank first on the list, with 8,370 in full installed capacity. The second place is occupied by Itaipu which, being binational (owned by Brazil and Paraguay), accounts for 7,000 MW, half of its full power.<\/p>\n<p>The third position is occupied by the HPP Ilha Solteira, on the Paran&aacute; River, between the municipalities of Ilha Solteira (SP) e Selv&iacute;ria (MS), with 3,440MW. The HPP Xing&oacute;, built on the S&atilde;o Francisco River, between Piranhas (AL) and Canind&eacute; de S&atilde;o Francisco (SE), has the fourth largest power, with 3,160MW, followed by the HPP Paulo Afonso IV, also installed on the Rio S&atilde;o Francisco River, in Paulo Afonso, Bahia, with 2,460MW.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Below is the list of the 10 largest HPP.
