\nThe board of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) decided today (06\/28) to maintain current rates of <\/span>Eletropaulo Metropolitana Eletricidade de São Paulo S\/A until the final publication of the methodology of the third round of rate revisions is published. Eletropaulo serves 6.1 million consumer units in São Paulo and the metropolitan area.<\/p>\n

The interim procedure for the treatment of rates for electricity distributors that will undergo periodic rate revision this year was approved in April in a public meeting of the board. The model was adopted in the revision of <\/span>Companhia Energética do Ceará (Coelce) on April 22.<\/p>\n

After defining the methodology of the third round of rate revisions, the distributors who had the presence of their rates extended will have 28 days to submit the initial information needed to calculate the rate revision, except those relating to the Regulatory Remuneration Base*, which continue to follow <\/a><\/span>Resolution No.<\/strong><\/a>342\/2008<\/a><\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n

The new resolution will also determine the retroactive application of new contract values <\/span>​​at the date of the rate revisions. The change in revenue resulting from the difference between the rates applied in the interim period of validity of the rate review and approval as defined in the final results will be calculated and compensated.
