The Board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) has examined appeals by three companies against penalties applied and decided to keep the fines. The violations include technical irregularities noted during the technical and commercial inspection, as well as failures in the calculation of the DEC, FEC, DIC, FIC and DMIC continuity indices in the first half of 2010. The Board’s decision ends the possibility of an appeal by the concessionaires at the administrative level. Below is the table below with details of the violations: (PG\/DB).<\/p>\n

The fine applied by the Electricity Service Supervision Superintendence – SFE – was maintained.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tCentrais Elétricas de Rondônia S\/A – CERON<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tFailures in the calculation of the DEC, FEC, DIC, FIC and DMIC continuity indices in the first half of 2010<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tR$1, 688,685.06<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe agency decided to verify and dismiss the appeal filed by Centrais Elétricas de Rondônia – CERON. The fine applied by the Electricity Service Supervision Superintendence – SFE – was maintained<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\n\t\t\t\tCompanhia Estadual de Distribuição de Energia Elétrica – CEEE-D<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tDelay in submitting information regarding service continuity and noncompliance with the DEC and FEC collective continuity indicator targets in2009.<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tR$9,439,517.84<\/td>\n\n\t\t\t\tThe agency decided to verify and give partial approval to the appeal filed by Companhia Estadual de Distribuição de Energia Elétrica – CEEE-D.
