CEB supplies power to 882 thousand consumer unities located in the Federal District.<\/p>\n<p>The public hearing, chairedby ANEEL&rsquo;s director Andr&eacute; Pepitone da N&oacute;brega, had 156 attendees. Among them are: representatives of dwellers associations, community municipalities and unions, deputies, college students and representatives of the Brazilian Association of Power Distribution.<\/p>\n<p>It was introduced in the hearing the proposal of the preliminary average effect of CEB&rsquo;s third tariff review that predicts <strong>6.01%<\/strong> increase in the consumers&rsquo; bills. The final index of<br \/>\nthe concessionary review will be approved in a meeting between ANEEL&rsquo;s board of directors, to be held after contributions analysis made in the public hearing. The final index will be applied on August 16th, 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The tariff review will be on concession contracts with the purpose of obtaining a balance of tariffsbased on the payment of investments of companies offering distribution services and coverage of expenditure recognized by ANEEL. It is applied on the distribution concessionaries every 4 years, average.
