\nThe Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica<\/em> – ANEEL) promotes next Wednesday (03\/06) a live session of the Public Hearing to discuss the 3rd<\/sup> Tariff Review for AES Sul Distribuidora de Energia. The session will be chaired by the Agency’s director André Pepitone da Nóbrega, starting at 1:30 p.m., at the Câmara Municipal de Vereadores, located at Rua Vale Machado, number 1415, in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul.<\/p>\n

The session has the objective of debating the preliminary readjustment proposal of 3.03% for the consumer units served by AES Sul. For the industries, the proposal is an average increase of 2.36%. The hearing will also discuss the service quality and the limits for the continuity indicators *DEC and **FEC for the concession company for the period of 2014 to 2018.<\/p>\n

The tariff reviews promoted by ANEEL are preceded by public hearings, in which the agency seeks to hear society and receive contributions from the sector’s agents and shareholders in the process. Besides participating in the live session, the shareholders may send contributions until 03\/08\/2013 to the e-mail addresses: ap005_2013rv@aneel.gov.br<\/strong><\/a>, for the tariff review subject; ap005_2013et@aneel.gov.br<\/strong><\/a>, for the tariff structure subject; ap005_2013ic@aneel.gov.br<\/strong><\/a>, for the continuity indicator subject; ap005_2013pt@aneel.gov.br<\/strong><\/a>, for the technical loss subject, or also to the Agency’s address (SGAN, Quadra 603, Módulo I, Térreo, Protocolo Geral, CEP: 70.830-030), in Brasília-DF.<\/p>\n

After the end of the contribution period, the subject will be deliberated in a Board of Director’s meeting, which will decide for the final index to be practiced by the distribution company starting 04\/19\/2013. The tariff review is foreseen in the concession contracts and has the objective to obtain the balance of the tariff based on the remuneration of the companies’ investments aimed to the providing of distribution services and coverage of expenses effectively acknowledged by ANEEL. It is applied in the distribution concession companies every four years, on average.<\/p>\n

AES Sul serves 1.2 million consumer units in 118 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul. (DB\/PG)<\/p>\n
