The online registration process for participation in the auction for selection of the concessionaire that will explore the public service of electricity distribution in the municipalities of Putinga and Anta Gorda, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul starts today (4/25) and will last until 4/29. The region is currently served by the Municipal Electricity Department of Putinga (DEMEEP). The delivery of the proposal guarantees to the Special Bidding Committee (CEL) will occur between 4/29 and 4/30 and the auction will be held on 5/3, on the premises of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL).
The winner will be the one that offers the highest annual Revenue Waiver Amount (VRR), plus an average rate lower than the DEMEEP. The bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope, followed by bids submitted by speakerphone. The current concessionaire does not have the grant of the concession right to operate the service and, therefore, the Agency initiated the process for regularization of services in the region.
