Dispatch no. 1312 that sets aside the sums from the Energy Development Account – CDE to be transferred by Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A.- Eletrobrás to the distribution concessionaires, in accordance with Decree 7945/2013, was published today (5/2) in the Official Federal Gazette. The objective is to cover those costs generated from the lack of rainfall and the consequent activation of thermoelectric plants.It also aims to remove the onus of rebuilding the distributor's cash availability in the subsequent tariff period from the consumer while also impeding concessionaire losses.
The sums refer to January, February and March and they consider the accounting results from the Electric Energy Commercialization Chamber – CCEE. Improvement of the Decree regulation proposal was in public hearing and should be voted on soon by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency Board.(PG/DB)
