Distribution Auction no. 003/2013 will be held tomorrow (5/3) at 10 am in the auditorium of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL). It is the tender procedure for contracting the public utility of electricity distribution in a specific area in the municipalities of Putinga and Anta Gorda, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.The region is currently served by the Putinga Municipal Department of Electric Energy (DEMEEP), which does not have the concession rights for exploring the service and, thus, the Agency began the process to regulate services in the region.
The winner of the auction will be the one that offers the highest annual Foregone Revenue Sum (VRR), as well as a lower average tariff than the one practiced by DEMEEP.The bids will be presented in a closed envelope, followed by bids over the speaker phone.(PG/DB)
