The board of directors of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL – Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica) approved the public hearing to obtain subsidies for the regulation of partial capture of revenues from ancillary activities in favor of low tariffs. The hearing will occur in the period of June 6 to June 20.
The objective of the proposal is to amend the Tariff Regulation Procedures (PRORET) to include activities incidental to the rules of revenue sharing with the consumer. Under the proposal, the additional ancillary activities are comparable to atypical activities contained in PRORET. Therefore, should be passed 50% of net income to consumers and no capture of costs. Whereas their own ancillary activities are comparable to the complementary activities PRORET. In this case, 50% of the profit will be transferred and the expenses will be fully reversed the lower tariffs.
