Tariff readjustment by Certel cooperative is now approved

Fonte: ANEEL
Consumers of the Regional cooperative Teutonia Electrification (Certel) will have electricity tariffs adjusted from June 26. The readjustment was approved last tuesday (06/18), during a public meeting of the Board of the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL). The Cooperative serves 53,000 consumer units located in 47 counties in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The average effect to be noticed by consumers of the cooperative will be of 3.19%.

When calculating the adjustment rates, the Agency considers the variation in costs that the company had during the reference period. Calculation includes typical costs of distribution activity, which focuses on the IGP-M and X Factor *, and other costs that do not necessarily follow the inflation index, such as electricity purchased from generators, transmission charges and sector charges.

The application of the annual adjustment and tariff revision is foreseen in contracts signed between cooperatives and the Federal Government, through ANEEL. The rates approved by the Agency are the limits to be applied by cooperatives. Read more about the tariff updating processes on www.aneel.gov.br, at Consumer Space, Tariffs – Final consumers.

More information about the processes of tariff adjustments can also be consulted at the website of ANEEL, at the consumer space profile, in the "questions and answers on charges of electricity distribution" booklet. (PG/DB)
