The collegiate board of directors of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL – Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica) approved today (06/25) the result of Transmission Auction No 01/2013 and awarded to the winners the six lots disputed. In all, there were ten lots, but four (D, E, F and J) were closed without interest and shall commence in the next auction to be conducted by the Agency.
Held on May 10 at the BM&FBOVESPA headquarters, in São Paulo, the auction ended with 11.96% negative goodwill. Transmission lines and four substations were tendered located in 11 states. They are: Ceará, Goiás, Maranhão, Pará, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, São Paulo and Tocantins. The maximum reference Allowed Annual Revenue (RAP – Receita Anual Permitida)* to be paid to the entrepreneurs, determined in the edict, is R$ 586 million.
The period of completion is 22 to 36 months and the concession contracts are for 30 years. Check here the description of the lots. (PG/DB)
