The electricity tariffs for Cooperativa de Distribuição de Energia (Creluz-D) consumers will be readjusted starting June 30.The readjustment was approved today (6/25) during a public meeting of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) Board. The Cooperative serves the municipality of Pinhal in Rio Grande do Sul.The average effect on the cooperative’s captive consumers will be 4.96%.
Calculating the readjustment indexes, the Agency considers the cost variation the company had incurred during the reference period. The calculation formula includes typical distribution activity costs, plus IGP-M and the X Factor*, and other costs that do not necessarily accompany the inflation index, such as energy purchased from generators, transmission charges and sector charges.
Application of the annual readjustment and the tariff review is projected in the permission contracts signed between the cooperatives and the Federal Government, through ANEEL.The indexes ratified by the Agency are the limits to be practiced by the cooperatives.Read more about the tariff updating process at www.aneel.gov.br, in Consumer Space, Tariffs – Final Consumers.
