Today (6/25), the ANEEL Board approved the amendment to the Organization Standard that establishes general procedures for registry and approval of feasibility studies and basic hydroelectric generation enterprise projects. With this change, if there is any appeal against a decision on inventory studies, feasibility studies or basic projects, the suspensive effect will be automatic. The objective is to avoid losses of difficult or uncertain repair whenever there is hydroelectric potential available on which an appeal has been filed.

The proposal was in public hearing from April to May of this year and it received six contributions. One concerned the publishing of the suspensive effect and the Board determined the information be published in the Studies and Projects Follow-Up Report as well as in ANEEL’s Virtual Library.(LP/DB)
