The physical public hearing session to discuss the 3rd Tariff Review for Companhia Energética do Maranhão (Cemar), scheduled for Friday (6/28) from 8 to 12 am, in São Luís (MA), was suspended since no space was available.There is still no information about a possible new place and date.
Public hearing 054/2013, which deals with the matter, receives document contributions until 7/5. The previous sums submitted to the ANEEL hearing consist of a proposed reduction of -3.09% in Cemar’s residential consumer account (B1).For industries, the proposal is for an average increase of 0.10%.
Final indexes will only be known in August, when the matter will be deliberated on by the Agency’s Board in an Ordinary Public Meeting.The new tariffs will be applied starting August 28.Cemar serves 1.8 million consumers in 217 cities of Maranhão.
The tariff review is projected in concession contracts with the objective of obtaining equilibrium in the tariffs based on the remuneration of company investments geared towards providing distribution services and covering expenses effectively recognized by ANEEL.The hearing will also discuss the quality of the service and the *DEC and **FEC continuity indicators for Cemar stipulated for 2014 to 2017.
