Approved on Tuesday (07/25) by the ANEEL Board was the budget of the National System Operator (ONS – Operador Nacional do Sistema Elétrico) for the 2013/2014 cycle, totaling R$ 507.3 million. Costing items, figures for the 2013-2016 Action Plan for the year 2013 and acquisitions and improvements were contemplated.
The ONS is a legal entity of private law, in the form of civil association, nonprofit, and the regulation and supervision of its activities are the responsibility of ANEEL. The entity shall submit quarterly reports to the Agency of accountability of budget execution. (LP/DB)
