CRERAL Cooperative has tariff readjusted

Fonte: ANEEL
Starting June 30, the consumers of Cooperativa Regional de Eletrificação Rural do Alto Uruguai – CRERAL will have the tariffs readjusted. The readjustment was approved today (06/27) during extraoridinary public meeting of the board of directors of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL – Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica). The Cooperative serves 6,637 consumer units located in the municipality of Erechim (RS). The average affect perceived by the captive consumers of the cooperative will be 4.16%.

When calculating the adjustment rates, the Agency considers the variation in costs that the company had during the reference period. The calculation formula includes typical costs of distribution activity, which focuses on the IGP-M and X Factor*, and other costs that do not necessarily follow the inflation index, such as power purchased from generators, transmission charges and sector charges.

The application of the annual adjustment and tariff revision is foreseen in permission contracts signed between cooperatives and the Federal Government, through ANEEL. The rates approved by the Agency are the limits to be applied by cooperatives. Read more about the tariff update processes at www.aneel.gov.br, in Consumer Space, Rates – Final Consumers.

* Factor X – Percentage to be subtracted from the Inflation Variation Indicator – IVI, at the time of the annual tariff adjustments between periodic reviews, in order to share with consumers the productivity gains estimated for the period.
