The opinion survey on electric energy earnings will continue until July 17.Promoted by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) on its Internet website, the consultation deals with new tariffs and renewable energy sources.The objective is to improve the relationship between the Agency and society and to expand popular participation in regulation.
The participation of companies and consumers is voluntary and very important for ANEEL.Answers to the survey should subsidize improvements in the tariff structure for the 4th Cycle of Periodic Tariff Reviews for electric energy distributors – which begins in 2015.
It is easy and fast to answer the questionnaire.There are no more than five questions, elaborated in clear and objective language.The focus of the survey is on how electric energy is charged.The consumers are divided into low voltage (group B, which includes residential, low-income consumers and small companies) and medium and high voltage consumers (group A, industries and big commercial establishments).Today, 72.5 million consumers in Brazil are served with low voltage and 180 thousand with medium and high voltage.
