Live meeting about Celg”s Tariff Review is suspended

The live meeting of the public hearing to discuss the 3rd Tariff Review for Celg Distribuição S/A, scheduled to be held next Friday (07/12) in Goiânia (GO) was suspended. The dealership serves 2.5 million consumer units located in 237 cities in Goías. Public hearing 062/2013, which handles the matter, receives documental contributions until 07/19.

The values submitted to the hearing by ANEEL consist of a preliminary proposal for a reduction of -3.78% (negative) on the bill of residential consumers (B1) of Celg. For industries, the proposal is an average increase of 15.87%. The final rates will only be known in August, when the matter will be resolved by the Agency’s Board of Directors in an Ordinary Public Meeting. The revised rates will apply starting September 12.

The tariff review is foreseen in the concession contracts and aims to get the balance of rates based on the remuneration of the investments of companies focused on the provision of distribution services and expense coverage effectively recognized by ANEEL. The hearing will also discuss the service quality and the limits of the continuity indicators *DEC and **FEC of the Celg sets stipulated for the period of 2014 to 2017.
