The Board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) ruled on Tuesday the opening of a public hearing to receive contributions to the approval process of the planning and price formation computer programs with risk aversion internalization mechanisms prompted by Resolution 03/2013 of CNPE.
The intention is that, with the improvement, there is a decrease in the activation of thermal power plants outside the order of merit. The methodology chosen by the Standing Committee for Analysis of Methodologies and Computer Programs for the Electricity Sector (CPAMP) was the Conditioned Value at Risk (CVaR), which aims to give greater importance to the most critical hydrological scenarios in the calculation of the operation policy.
