Today (08/07) the activities of the VII Congress of Technological Innovation in Energy (Citenel) and III Seminar Energy Efficiency in the Electricity Sector (Seenel) ended in Rio de Janeiro. The events were attended by 963 people, representing a growth of 34% compared to the last edition, held in 2011 in Fortaleza.

During the events, the fifth edition of the magazine P&D and the first of the magazine Eficiência Energética (Energy Efficiency) were released, both edited by ANEEL. Panels were promoted on strategic issues for the electricity sector with experts from international and national institutions. Professor from the School of Administration at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – MIT, Scott Stern, presented a magna lecture on the theme “Innovation: The New Brazilian Economic Strategy.” Technical sessions and business rounds were also held.

The closing lecture was given by sailor and Olympic medalist Lars Grael.

During the afternoon, also planned, for participants previously registered, is a technical visit to the Museum of Energy and the Light Recicla Ecopoint in the community of the hill of Santa Marta. (LP/DB)
