Fonte: ANEELThe National Electricity Agency (ANEEL) is promoting next Friday (08/23), at 10 a.m, the 5th Reserve energy Auction, for hiring reserve power coming from generation projects from wind power, starting supply from the 1st of September 2015. The auction will be transmitted on the Internet, with operation by the Chamber of Electric Energy Commercialization (CCEE), in São Paulo. The initial price of energy in the event will be R$ 117.00 / MWh (a hundred and seventeen dollars per megawatt-hour)
In all, 377 projects were enabled by the Energy Research Company (EPE), 123 Bahia, Ceará in 63, two in Maranhão, 9 in Paraíba, 14 in Pernambuco,31 in Piauí, 41 in Rio Grande do Norte and 94 in Rio Grande do Sul. The projects for new parks to generate energy from the wind capacity sum 8,999 megawatts (MW).
Entrepreneurs who tender the lowest selling price of energy will sign Reserve Energy contracts (CER) in the quantity modality, with supply beginning on the 1st of September, 2015 for twenty years.
Under the new rules, there will be only a 10% probability that the park produces less energy than the amount sold in the auction. Moreover, the hiring of the parks will be conditioned to ensure connection with the transmission network. The event can be watched on the Internet, via the CCEE website (www.ccee.org.br).
The reserve auctions serve to enhance the physical security of the system and can be performed with any advance. These auctions are also intended to reduce the risk of imbalance between supply and demand of electricity. The auction notice is available on the website of ANEEL. Check it out here.
