Fonte: ANEELThe Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL – Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica) and the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel – Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações) promote this Wednesday (9/11) at the ANEEL headquarters in Brasilia, the second live session of the public hearing to discuss the joint proposal of the agencies to discipline the sharing of posts between providers of telecommunications and electricity distributors. This past 9/4 the matter was debated in the city of São Paulo.
The proposal for joint resolution by ANEEL and Anatel is to give equal conditions to providers of telecommunications services and avoid barriers for the entry of new competitors in the market. For this, it sets a monthly reference value of R$ 2.44 by using a cable attachment point for pole to be applied only in the solution of conflicts between telecommunication service providers and electricity distributors – because the rule is free negotiations for the use of the distributors’ infrastructure.
Moreover, the power concessionaires should create a public record of the occupations of the poles with information about contracts with telecommunications providers. When there is excess capacity, the distributor must make a public offer for attachment points.
Those interested may send contributions until September 19th to the email: ap007_2007conjunta@aneel.gov.br, by fax (61) 2192-8839 or to the Agency’s address (SGAN, Quadra 603, Módulo I, Térreo, Protocolo Geral, CEP: 70830-100), in Brasília-DF.
