The National Electricity Agency (ANEEL) approved the result of the Auction No. 05/2013 for the recruitment of reserve power generation capacity from wind power, with supply starting from September 1st, 2015. The event was held on 08/23/2013, in the Trading Chamber (CCEE) and 66 wind generation projects, totaling an installed capacity of 1505.2 megawatts (MW) were commissioned.
The final average bidding price was R$ 110.51 MWh (reais per megawatt hour), resulting in an average discount of 5.55% from the initial price of R$ 117.00/MWh. The lower average selling price was recorded in the state of Bahia, R$ 107.04 MWh, and the highest average price in Pernambuco, R$ 116.00 MWh.
