The collegiate board of directors of the National Agency of Electricity (Aneel) decided today (02/12) to submit to public hearing the minutes of the auction edictal for the concession of Jirau power station, in Madeira River. Contributions for the proposal will be received from tomorrow (02/13) until next February 28, through the electronic address www.aneel.gov.br on the link called Audiências/Consultas/Fórum. Suggestions will be received via e-mail ap010_2008@aneel.gov.br, by fax (61) 2192.8839 or via mail to the address SGAN, Quadra 603, Módulo I, Térreo, Protocolo Geral da Aneel, CEP 70.830-030, Brasília-DF.

The auction of the second power station of Madeira River Complex is set for May 9, according to the Administrative Rule nr 28/2008, of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and it will be held on a closed environment on the main office of Aneel, in Brasília. The Auction operation will be done by the Commercialization Chamber of Electricity – CCEE, according to delegation of Aneel.

Besides the technical features of the undertaking, the minutes establish the conditions for the pre-qualification, energy contracting and deposit of fiscal guarantees and proposal. After contribution analysis and approval of the final text by the Board of Directors, the edictal will be published by Aneel.
