Fonte: ANEELThe concession contracts for nine electricity transmission lines auctioned by Aneel in November of last year were signed today (03/17), in a ceremony held at the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The concessions of new enterprises, grouped in seven lots, were bought in auction by six Brazilian companies and one Spanish company. The lines add up to approximately 1,941 kilometers of extension and are designated to reinforce the National Interconnected System. The investments are predicted at R$ 1.15 billion.

The contracts were signed by Aneel’s general director, Jerson Kelman, and by representatives of the private and state companies that, individually, bought the concession in the auction held by the Agency on November 7 of last year, in partnership with the São Paulo Stock Market, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. In all, seven lots with nine lines and four substations were auctions, with an average accrued liability of 54.84%. See here the relation of lots and respective lines.

The building of new enterprises will benefit the states of Alagoas, Ceará, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Paraná, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Sul, Sergipe and Tocantins. The lines should start operation in between 15 and 21 months.

In ten years of functioning, the Agency tendered and authorized 32,199.32 kilometers (km) of transmission lines, of which 24,492.5 km are in operation. In 2007, 995.4 km of lines were energized. Currently, in operation are approximately 87,568 km of lines in the National Interconnected System (SIN).
