Consumers contribute to the inspection of the services rendered by CEA

Fonte: ANEELThe Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (Aneel) held this Tuesday (03/18), in Macapá (AP), a public consult to hear the consumers about the quality of services rendered by the Companhia de Eletricidade do Amapá (CEA). The meeting counted on the participation of approximately 30 people, among which were individual consumers, representatives of costumer defense entities, public and private institutions, unions and resident associations.

The consult lead by Annel’s superintendent of Electricty Services Inspection, Paulo Henrique Lopes, gathered contributions which will serve as subside to the periodic inspection of services rendered by the distributor, to be held in 2008 by Aneel.

Besides encouraging the improvement of power service rendering, the purpose of the public consult is to provide consumers direct access to the Agency to contribute to the inspection processes. The quality in the supply and customer service are some of the aspects of the services rendered by the distribution leasers observed by the inspection.

CEA, the second distributor to go through the public consult about service inspection this year, serves approximately 133 million consumers in 16 municipal districts in Amapá. Yet another 26 consults are predicted for 2008. In the month of March, the Agency promoted a public consult in Goiás, in Celg Distribuição S/A’s concession area. The public consults about the inspection of services rendered by the distributors started in 2004.
