In an extraordinary meeting held today, the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency’s (Aneel) collegiate board authorized the final index for the periodic tariff readjustment at Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais (Cemig). The new tariffs will go into effect tomorrow (4/8) for 6.439 million consumer units in 774 townships of Minas Gerais. The resolution will be published in the Official Federal Gazette.
The average revision effect is -12.24% (negative) and will be applied in a differentiated manner according to consumption class. Check the indexes that will be applied to the energy bills:
