Today (5/7), in Salvador, the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (Aneel) complied with one more public hearing phase for the proposal to update and improve Resolution # 456/2000, holding a live public session conducted by Agency director Romeu Donizete Rufino. The resolution establishes the general conditions for supplying energy and governs the relationships between consumers and distributors.
The meeting had the participation of 87 people, including 20 who made some manifestation. Those present included rural producers, a consumer council, union representatives, resident associations, distributors and consumers in general. The regulation has been in public hearing since last February 1. The purpose is to improve the relationship between the agents responsible for providing the public electric energy service and the consumers.
The reduction in non-technical losses, defaults, quality of commercial service, service posts and minimization of operational costs are just some of the regulation’s themes under analysis. The table below shows some changes that are being proposed:
