The edict minutes and of the relative contracts to 6th auction of new energy foreseen by August 12th will be submitted to the public hearing starting today (06/11). The documents related to the auction (nº 02/2008) will be available on the electronic page of the Brazilian Electricty Regulatory Agency, at the address www.aneel.gov.br, profile “A Aneel”, link Audiências/Consultas/Fórum/Audiências 2008.
The auction, called A-3, is going to negotiate on the internet contracts for commercialization of energy starting supply in January 2011 and is directed to new enterprises of generation not yet authorized, enlargement projects of existing plants and enterprises of energy importing. The buyers will be the distribution leasers of electricity who shall declare to the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) their electricity purchase needs for 2011 by June 13.
The initial prices of the products offered in the auction will be defined by the MME. Two modalities of contracts of Commercialization of Electric Energy in the Regulated Environment (CCEARs): per quantity* of 30 years (enterprises of hydraulic source) and availability for ** 15 year (other sources).

*Contract by quantity –consider the sum of energy associated to the power installed of the plant which is passible to contracting.
**Contract for availability –steadied in the possibility of generation of the enterprise from the existence of the energy source.
