Today (02/19), the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (Aneel) performed another stage of the public hearing for the second periodical tariff readjust of Ampla Energia e Serviços S/A. The public meeting was carried out in the city of Niterói (RJ). The concessionaire serves 2.3 million consuming units in 66 municipalities of the inner state of Rio de Janeiro.
The on-side hearing, guided Aneel’s director Romeu Donizete Rufino, counted on the participation of around one hundred people, among representatives of the industry, the customers’ council, parliament members, the Federal Audit Court members, customer defense bodies and the press.
The readjustment’s average effect provides for a 1.45% increase in the tariffs, which will be applied in different ways per consumption class. Below, see the average preliminary effect which will be noticed by Ampla’s captive customers:
