The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency’s (Aneel) Special Auction Commission (CEL) published today (04/06) the Material Note no. 01 which changes the date of the clarification meeting, for occasional doubts regarding the instruction manual and procedures of the year’s first transmission lines auction, to April 15. The venue is still the same: the Agency’s headquarters in Brasília, starting at 15:00.
According to the new schedule, the deadlines for the request for clarification regarding the public note and answers to the clarifications were changed to April 20 and 27, respectively. The other dates of the schedule remain unchanged.
The auction will be carried out on May 8, starting at 10:00, at the Rio de Janeiro Stock Exchange, in a public session conducted by the São Paulo Stock Exchange (BM&F Bovespa). The concessions of 19 new transmission lines and nine substations will be auctioned. Those will be divided in 12 lots, which will pass through the states of Acre, Bahia, Alagoas, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia and São Paulo.
The lines, established in the government’s planning, represent 2,400-kilometer increase in the Basic Network of the National Interconnected System (SIN). The construction, which will generate 28,600 direct jobs, should be finished in periods that range between 18 and 24 months, after the signature of the concession contracts, which provide for the installation, operation and maintenance of the undertakings.
