The meeting will be transmitted in the internet, according to Relevant Communiqué No. 4 to be published today
Aneel is holding tomorrow (April/15) a meeting to clarify eventual doubts regarding the instruction manual and procedures of the first transmission line auction this year. The meeting will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm in the auditorium of the Agency headquarters, in Brasilia, and will be transmitted live through the internet at the Aneel website (http://www.aneel.gov.br/). Representatives of the Special Bidding Commission and Transmission & Distribution Grant and Authorization Superintendence of Aneel, Federal Attorney’s Office and of the Stock Exchange, Commodities and Futures Market (BM&F Bovespa) will explain the bidding methodology to investors and other interested parties.
The granting of 19 new transmission lines and 9 substations will be bided, divided into 12 batches, which will pass through the states of Acre, Bahia, Alagoas, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia and São Paulo. The auction will be held on the 8th of May, at 10 am, in the facilities of the Rio de Janeiro Stock Exchange, in a public trading session conducted by BM&F Bovespa.
The lines, foreseen in the government’s planning, represent the addition of 2.4 thousand kilometers to the Basic Network of the National Interconnected System (SIN). The construction should be concluded within deadlines that vary from 18 to 24 months, as of signing of the grant contracts and the total investments are estimated at R$ 1.787 billion. See here the list of batches and respective transmission lines.
From this auction, the enrollment and submission of the proposal bond can be done through the internet. The instructions will be published in the Aneel site through Relevant Communiqué. BM&F Bovespa will preliminarily confirm the submission and later validation of the bond.
Another novelty is the reduction in percentage estimated of the investment to determine the value of the performance bond, whose proposal establishes that the amount be 5% of the total investment estimated for the undertaking and not more than 10%, as in the previous auctions.
The RFP, relevant annexes and notices are available in the link Espaço do empreendedor/Editais de Transmissão of the Agency’s website.
