The Aneel executive board approved today (08/25), at a public meeting, the annual tariff review of distributor Companhia Hidroelétrica São Patrício (Chesp). The new tariff will come into force next Friday (09/12), after it is published on the Diário Oficial da União. The distributor has Celg-D as a supplier, which is due on the payment of various charges in the electricity sector. The tariffs of the supplier are the same applied since 2007. The prevention of readjustment because of the default is provided in Article 10 of Law No. 8631/93, which provides for the setting of tariff levels for the public service of energy.
If Celg-D remains in this situation, the average effect to be perceived by consumers will be -10.06% (negative). The percentage of consumption by class is presented in the table below:
