The Aneel Index of Consumer Satisfaction Award (IASC) was granted today (11/25) at the Aneel’s headquarters in Brasilia, to the energy distributors better evaluated by residential consumers for services rendered in that year.  The winning companies will receive a trophy, a certificate and the IASC seal, which identifies the consumer recognition for their performance.  The Award has been given annually since 2002 to encourage the improvement of service delivery in the country.

The award is divided into nine categories: the IASC Brazil, which rewards the best performing company in the country, the IASC’s highest percentage growth in 2009 compared to 2008, and the regional IASC, which covers seven separate categories by region and number consumers served.  The criteria adopted by the methodology facilitate comparing companies with similar profiles.

The winning bidders can apply the IASC Seal to the energy bills, and in other parts of corporate communications in accordance with rules in the regulation of the prize.

The national average was 66.74, the highest in the ten years of research.  It is important to remember that the research has been carried out since 2000. The award, however, was established two years later.  Check out the following list of winners in each category.  More information about the performance of each of the 63 concessionaires can be found in the general report and individual reports of the IASC in 2009 that will be available in the coming days on the website of the Agency  (www.aneel.gov.br), in the  ‘&  &  Information  Techniques,  profile, in the  &  distribution of electricity /  IASC”link.
