The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica – ANEEL) held today (06/14) the public drawing session for the muncipalities that will participate in the electricity consumer satisfaction evaluation with the services rendered by the distribution companies. The drawing was directed by the Superintendence of Electricity Commercialization Regulation (Superintendência de Regulação da Comercialização da Eletricidade (SRC), in the Agency’s auditorium in Brasília.

This will be the 11^th edition of the annual survey that verifies the Aneel Consumer Satisfaction Index (Índice Aneel de Satisfação do Consumidor – IASC). The interviews will be held, between July and September 2010, with 19,340 residential consumers from the 475 municipalities drawn, located in the concession areas of the current 63 electricity distribution companies.

The IASC works as a quality evaluation instrument and supplies subsidies for the concession companies that perfect their service rendering and also guides Aneel in the activities of inspection and in the perfection of the regulatory process.
