The concession of eleven transmission lines and eight electrical substations auctioned by ANEEL in November last year were signed today (07/12) in a ceremony held at the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The contracts were signed by the Director General of ANEEL, Nelson Hübner, and representatives of companies that acquired the concessions. The Minister of Mines and Energy, Márcio Zimmermann, presided over the ceremony.
The projects, grouped into eight lots, were sold to companies and consortia from Brazil and Spain. The lines total approximately 1079 km long and are designed to strengthen the National Interconnected System (SIN). The auction average discount was 28.43%. The construction of the new lines will benefit the states of Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais. The enterprises shall come into operation between 15 and 24 months after the signing of concession contracts today. The projects will generate 6800 direct jobs. The total investment for the construction of lines is estimated at BRL 1.3 billion. Check below a list of lots with their respective winning companies.
