Generating capacity grows 50.1% in 10 years

Capacidade de geração cresce 50,1% em 10 anos  The installed capacity in Brazil in 2010 reached 112,398.49 Megawatts (MW) from 2,336 power, thermal, wind, nuclear, hydroelectric and small hydroelectric generating plants. The growth of power compared to 2009 was 5.7%. Over the past 10 years, the increase was 50.1%. 

The energy from hydroelectric plants predominates, accounting for 68.53% of the power, followed by the capacity of power plants, with 25.65%, and small hydroelectric plants, with 3.05%. They also make up the matrix of 1.79% from nuclear power plants, 0.82% and 0.17% of wind power generators.
