The live classroom session of the Public Hearing No. 121/2010, held today (02/10) in the auditorium of the National Agency (ANEEL), Brasilia, with the participation of 16 exhibitors and six people who made enhancement suggestions for the proposed methodology to review the shelf life of assets and facilities in use in the electricity sector.
The performance left the audience's perception of ANEEL Board regarding the need to update the percentages associated with depreciation rates of assets (property and facilities) used for the performance of activities of electric power.
The consultants hired by ANEEL to study the life of the equipment came from research on the experience of international regulators, as well as survey of manufacturers and technical standards and also with the power agents in order to verify the duration in use of equipment installed in power systems.
