The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) will submit to the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) the request to extend the concession of the Power Plant (HPP) of Serra da Mesa. The request was made by the company Furnas Central Electric S/A, owner of the concession along with CPFL.
The decision, taken at the board meeting held yesterday (02/15), recommended that MME will hold the elections and extend the concession for 29 years, which is sufficient time to repay the investment. The plant is located in the municipalities of Goiás, Minaçu and Cavalcante and has 1,275 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity. (DB/GL)
