The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) has provided public utility statements, for purposes of easement, of approximately 270.6km of tracks of land for transmission projects in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, and São Paulo.
The competence of the Agency to declare the public utility areas of land necessary for the implementation of generation, transmission and distribution projects is provided in Act 9074/1995, amended by Act 9648/1998. Normative Resolution 279/2007 governs the general procedures for application for declaration. See the areas that received the statements (FA/GL).
