The board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) has maintained fines for monitoring companies Centrais Elétricas Matogrossenses (CEMAT), Companhia Energética de Pernambuco (CELPE), Amazonas Distribuidora de Energia (ADESA), and Celesc Distribuição S/A. The power distributors were penalized for not meeting the goals established by the Agency for the indicators that measure duration (DEC)* and frequency (FEC)** of power outages. The notifications were made between 2005 and 2008. The decision of the board this Tuesday (02/15) eliminates the possibility of appeal by the concessionaires at the administrative level (DB/LG).
